Industrial Inkjet Printers Large Character Marking Thermal Overprinters Laser Marking Labellers Label Printer Applicators Label Printers Software/Solutions Help Me Decide!?

Our range of label printer applicators are purpose designed to withstand the rigours of industrial over printing and labelling, unlike some competitor systems which are adapted desktop printers or hybrids. Because our LPA's are developed for the specific requirements they come with innovations such as ribbon saving, real 1:1 print-during-apply, and the superfast print-then-apply labelling mode.

Reynolds Group has been designing and supporting LPA applications for more than 15 years which has resulted in a large installed base and solution catalogue, and we consider ourselves masters of the technology with our mainstream applications being:

  • Over printing labels with date, batch and bar codes, immediately prior to application on primary packaging.
  • Applying compliant GS1-128 onto secondary packaging to meet grocery industry guidelines.
  • Applying SSCC labels onto pallets that are fully integrated with ERP systems.

We either supply the print and apply labeller with custom bracketry for retro-fitting to your current production line or fully integrated into any one of our RGL labelling systems. In either case, you are assured of a tightly integrated solution delivered by our in-house team of mechanical, automation and IT engineers.

Avery Dennison ALX720 Label Printer Applicator

The ALX720 'Print and Apply' labeller is a superfast workhorse capable of printing and applying labels at 30m/min in 'wipe-apply' mode onto almost any product and also offers excellent ribbon saving through the use of near edge print technology.

A label buffer or 'loop' between the dispensing edge and the print engine in effect makes the application and printing functions independant from each other, giving high application speeds that can follow variable production line speeds perfectly (including stopping and re-starting) by integrating a shaft encoder.

This 'print-then-apply' technique is perfect for overprinting final customisation information like barcodes, date codes, and nutritional information onto pre-printed labels and because of the automatic ribbon save function the thermal ribbon only advances the length of the print window, and not the whole label length as with other printers, saving you money. In fact, purchasing our private RGL brand of ribbon, utilising ribbon save and signing up to our guaranteed reliability programme represents the most cost effective means of label printing plus you will also achieve the highest possible print quality and reliability aswell.

Because the ALX720 is built tough using German engineering it is ideally suited to printing series information on cartons and boxes like GS1-128 wrap around labels and this has been a key niche of the ALX720 in New Zealand.

Avery Dennison ALX924 Real 1:1 Print and Apply Labeller

The ALX924 'Print and Apply' labeller has a 64-bit print engine processor which, when combined with real 1:1 label printing, makes it ideal for applying labels that contain real time customisation like contents, price, weight, grading or nutritional information. The labeller can operate in 'wipe-apply' at speeds up to 24 metres per minute, with faster speeds and the labelling of stationary products being possible by utilising one of a range of 'blow-on' and 'touch-on' applicators.

After application the label is retracted so that printing of the subsequent label can cover the whole label area, unlike some printers which have an unprintable area. This print-while-apply mode means that each label can be customised for the particular product to be printed which is particularly useful for many applications like products sold by weight, products made to order, box contents and totalisation.

The ALX924 is also capable of printing onto RFID labels because the near edge technology simply 'jumps the bump' over the RFID chip making sure that it is not damaged. An RFID writer can also be integrated and accessed through the same serial or ethernet port as the printer making printing and programming of RFID tags as simple as printing paper labels.

FoxIV Pallet Labellers

The FoxIV (Fox Four) label printer applicators are proven workhorses that are built tough (in the USA) to withstand the rigours of pallet labelling. With integrated print engines you can print and then apply GS1 compliant SSCC labels and then have them applied at the correct location everytime.

FoxIV labellers are a favourite component of the award winning Matthews iDSNet and iDSNet express integration suites, principally because pallet labelling is an area where iDS automation greatly simplifies pallet labelling by querying remote data sources for product information, verifying labels are applied with correct data, and interfacing to ERP systems for inventory management and electronic document interchange (EDI).

With a huge installed base in Australia and a growing installed base in New Zealand FoxIV has become synonomous with reliable SSCC pallet labelling in this part of the world.

Atlanta Sfera Stretch Wrapper

The Sfera is a self-contained, mobile system that can be walked up (under it's own power) to pallets and can then be left alone to scoot around it wrapping as it goes. And it's fast! A full size pallet can be fully wrapped in less than a minute.

By providing both mobility and compact size the Sfera has revolutionised the way thousands of European warehouses and packing floors operate. The Sfera can deal with any palletised product that a conventional stretch wrapper would handle, and is especially useful for uneven or unstable pallets. The Sfera free's up valuable floor space; when stowed it sits around one metre in height and has a tidy 1.2m2 footprint which means it can stow under warehouse racking or in a cupboard.

The Sfera is simply charged up on mains power when not in use and a full charge is good for more than 120 full pallets. Wrapping sequences are fully programmable and it comes with integrated safety systems. With a Reynolds Group wireless printing solution you pallet can be wrapped and labelled simply, easily and efficiently.
