Linx continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers are renowned around the world for their ease of use, reliability and low cost of ownership.  With robust hardware and software designs, sealed printhead, high IP ratings as minimum, and user simplicity they help to keep your line moving and your business growing.

For the pureists: Continuous Ink Jet technology is a non-contact printing method whereby electrically charged droplets of ink, half the diameter of a human hair, are expelled from a printhead nozzle at a rate of up to 120,000 droplets per second. Through electronic selection, individual droplets of ink are ejected from the continuous ink system and subsequently collide with the product packaging to form a character or logo.

The non-contact nature of CIJ allows printing onto irregular products and on high speed lines, while a wide range of inks allows virtually any substrate to be coded.

Linx 4900 Standard Ink Jet Printer

The Linx 4000 series printers make the technological advancements that Linx have made in Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ) technology available to simpler applications. With two lines of print and IP55 as standard the Linx 4900 is ideal printing fixed or variable data onto many product types. Key attributes of the 4900 are:

  • Cleaner -  The unique FullFlush™ system automatically cleans and dries printhead components and ink lines on shutdown, ensuring reliable startup's even after extended shutdowns. The 4000 series also feature a curvaceous IP55 enclosure that is ideal for washdown environments without the added cost of factory air.
  • Clearer - The printhead is specifically designed for two line printing and uses intelligent jet control for maintenance of print quality. Ink viscosity is electronically controlled by temperature and time of flight sensors in the printhead, with no need for manual intervention.
  • Cleverer - The printer can store up to 50 messages/codes and can be previewd prior to selection. The Linx 4900 is cleverly designed to ensure minimal intervention is needed from the user and all run parameters are monitored and adjusted by the printer itself.

Specialist printers have been developed within the 4000 series for specific customer requirements such as the Dairy Coder for dairy beverage and food producers, and the Bottle Coder for printing onto wet beverage bottles.
